Terms of Service

Welcome to Maid Hero. By accessing our website (www.themaidhero.com) and booking our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

The Service Maid Hero provides a platform that connects homeowners (“Clients”) with professional independent cleaning contractors (“Cleaners”). While we vet and background-check every "Hero" on our platform, the cleaners operate as independent contractors.
The "Hero Guarantee" (Satisfaction Policy) We take pride in our work. If you are not satisfied with your cleaning, please contact us within 24 hours of the service completion.

We will send a cleaner back to re-clean the missed areas at no additional cost.

Because of the nature of the service, we do not offer cash refunds.

Booking and Payment Payment: All payments are processed securely via credit card through our online platform.

Quotes: Online quotes are estimates based on standard home sizes. If a home is found to be in "extraordinarily heavy" condition, we reserve the right to adjust the price or the time required, with your approval.

Cancellation & Rescheduling We value our cleaners' time. Because they hold a specific time slot for you, the following fees apply:

Greater than 48 hours notice: No charge.

24–48 hours notice: A $50 cancellation fee will be applied.

Less than 24 hours notice (or Lock-outs): The full price of the scheduled service may be charged.

Safety and Access Access: Clients must provide a way for the cleaner to enter the home (Key, Code, or being present).

Safety: Our cleaners are not permitted to move heavy furniture (over 25 lbs), use tall ladders, or handle biohazards (including animal waste, mold, or bodily fluids).

Environment: For the safety of our cleaners, we require that the home be at a comfortable temperature and free of any aggressive pets.

Non-Solicitation Agreement Our "Heroes" are our greatest asset. By using Maid Hero, you agree not to independently hire any cleaner introduced to you through our platform for a period of 12 months following your last service. If you wish to hire a cleaner privately, a referral fee of $2,500 is due to Maid Hero.
Liability & Insurance Maid Hero maintains appropriate bonding and insurance. However, Maid Hero and its contractors are not liable for:

Damage caused by "normal wear and tear."

Damage to items not secured properly (e.g., heavy pictures hung on small nails).

Loss of value to antiques or one-of-a-kind items (we ask that these be put away during cleaning).

Governing Law These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada.
